Old Man Palm : Coccothrinax Crinita
General information: The Old Man palm is a Cuba native palm with an unique, thick, covered with a beard or a thick layer of fibers trunk. Its fibrous trunk resembles old burlap. The leaves are stiff, palmate and bright green. The petioles are short and thin. It grows to a height of 15-20 feet. Its close relative is the Silver palm.
